Two Worlds

Next day. At school.
School is another atmosphere.
Bullying , annoying teachers, competitions , mockery dominate it the most. Still , I have managed to find a bunch of good pals in the coven of wolves , among them is Alain.
"Hey , Lor " , smiled Alain as he laid down with food tray on the cafeteria table ,
"You didn't answer my call , last night " .
"I have been a bit busy with the household , you know " , said I , trying to fake a weak smile.
" Doing dishes again ?" , growled Alain .
I nodded in reply.
" Can't your mom afford a maid ?" , he asked.
"Why settle for a paid servant when she can afford one for free ?" , replied I.
" I have always tried to fight against it but I've failed ,Al", said I sighing deeply.
"Lor" ,said Alain.
"You can always come to us if you ever feel harassed again. I will be there for you ".
I know Alain is my best friend .
Even though he is let down at school for his glasses & shabby shirts , he has never let me down.
"Thanks , Alain " , said I .
"You are a great friend ".
"Ha , that's why best friends are there for " , he said.
"BTW , are you free this evening ?" , he asked.
We didn't have any tough homeworks today , so I asked ,
"Yeah , but why ?"
"A surprise that's​ gonna be surprising & cheering for you " , he grinned.
I laughed back.
" You are good at keeping secrets, Al.
C'mon , spill the beans out ", said I , tugging at his arm.
"Nay , till you reach my study room " , he laughed back.
The conversation could have rolled on further but the school bells broke the chord.
" Ok then , met you at 6 " , replied I as I rushed towards the classroom.
" What's​ Alain gonna trying to show me ? " , I wondered as I took my seat in the History classroom.
